Question: Why would a good God let someone go to hell?

Answer: God doesn’t want anyone to go to hell. He gives us a free will to either accept or reject him. It is our choice the direction we go, not his.

(2 Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Question: I’m a good person, won’t that get me into heaven?

Answer: Everyone has sinned--there is no-one alive who is completely innocent of sin. Accepting that truth is the first step in finding forgiveness and salvation from our sins.

(Romans 3:23) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Question: Aren’t there other ways for me to get into heaven?

Answer: Of all of the gods that man has worshipped throughout history, only one doesn’t occupy a grave, Jesus Christ.

(John 14:6) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Question: Why do certain so-called Christians act like hypocrites? I don’t want to be like that.

Answer: Unfortunately, there are many church-going people whose life doesn’t reflect Christ. The goal is not for us to base our faith on people or a particular church, but on a personal and daily walk with Jesus Christ. If you do that, God will transform your life into someone that other people will be drawn to.

(Deuteronomy 4:29) But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Question: I’m still mad at God for allowing bad things to happen to me. Why should I trust him?

Answer: God unfairly gets blamed for many situations that aren't HIS fault. In reality, either we have made decisions that have led to misfortune or the devil is the cause. Remember, God represents good, not evil.

(James 4:7) Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Question: I’ve done too many bad things for God to forgive me.

Answer: God wants to erase every sin of your past from His book forever; to become your personal Savior and deliver you from the guilt and the penalty of your sin. To cancel the hell that you deserve for a heaven you could never deserve. All that becomes yours the day you open your heart to Jesus and tell Him that you're turning from your sin and you're going to put all your trust in Him. He's the rescuer.

(Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
